Well, it's been a few days since my trip to North Carolina where I got to listen to Dr. David Rutolo speak. Dr. Rutolo is the original, and current, formulator of the Biometics products that Ken and I use, and that some of you use. . . If not, perhaps you will decide you might want to try them.

Dr. Rutolo is an absolutely brilliant scientist. That's all there is to it. I didn't know it, but he is one of the original developers of the "micellization" process. How interesting. The body creates micelles in order to be able to absorb nutrients and is a process of digestion. The biocellular micellization process, in the Biometics product line, does this step in advance of the product entering the body. How amazing! I've used the Biometics products now for over 10 years, and you know I still love them today, just as much as I ever did. I can still say that it has been over 10 years since I have had a migraine headache! I met a young lady, at the meeting, who has suffered with many monthly migraines and is now down just to a few. Won't it be wonderful if they go away completely like mine have and like many other people I know! It is wonderful to know that our formulator is continuously working on things to offer us, that will continue to work for us as the years go by. He told us at the meeting that he is working on a micellized form of Vitamin D! Yes!!

Biometics is a line of nutritional products that originally Dr. Rutolo and his partners had developed as their own line of products. They soon realized that they didn't know how to do marketing, so Biometics was born. Dr. Rutolo also told us that he uses these products himself. He went over each product, one by one. Which was wonderful. As some of you know, the products have recently undergone a complete delivery system change, it is biocellular micellization, Dr. Rutolo's new project and a great one! I want to let you know what Dr. Rutolo told us about these products:

First of all I must tell you that we do not diagnose, prescribe or claim to treat. The stories I tell are my own personal stories or ones I've heard others tell and I can verify with them. Also, this is Dr. Rutolo's words, from my perspective. I have attempted to decipher my notes, from the meeting, to the best of my ability.

First of all, he said that micellization is a natural process of digestion. The body creates micelles to digest and allow nutrients to penetrate the intestinal walls. A micelle is smaller than a red blood cell. It is .05 - 1 micron and a red blood cell is 10 microns, so that shows you what we are talking about when we say how small it is. No matter how good a nutrient is, if it is not small enough to penetrate the walls and enter into the system, it does us no good. That's the difference.

One lady talked about using the Flexi-Care directly on her skin around her joints that hurt. Dr. Rutolo confirmed that this could be done as the skin is epithelial cells, just like in the intestinal tract, so it would be able to absorb through! You'd better believe I am ordering some Flexi-Care, but more on that later!

Aloe Plus - high potency aloe for healthy digestion. Also aids in the absorption of the other products.

Bio Alert - naturally enhances alertness with Choline and b-vitamins. Choline supports brain, liver and cardiovascular health.

Get-Go-N Plus - B-vitamins with tyrosine. There has been a study that shows that tyrosine is beneficial in regulating emotions. Tyrosine converts to l-dopa in the brain after crossing the blood brain barrier. There is a small amount of caffeine in Get-Go-N Plus. It is a natural caffeine, like that occurs in beans, cocoa and coffee. It is an initiator of adrenal function and is not the active ingredient. It is not the stimulating effect as caffeine effects are very short lived.

Bio Alert and Get-Go-N Plus were originally meant to be one product, however, Dr. Rutolo was unable to get tyrosine into a liquid and choline into a powder. Dr. Rutolo did not say what the problem was with tyrosine was (at least I didn't catch it) but he did say that choline absorbs moisture and would just become a clump if in a powder.

BioFuel - Our foundational product. A multivitamin/mineral. Optimum nutrition. Absorption is 3-5 times faster than traditional multivitamins/minerals. The all-important trace minerals are included. Bio Fuel does not contain calcium/magnesium as there is a conflict of interest between calcium and other minerals, so it is in a separate product.

Bio-Immune - a wonderful immune boosting product. Echinacea, Vitamin C, Zinc and Quercetin all in one product. A powerhouse. Dr. Rutolo also said that Bio-Immune is wonderful for inflammation issues. The zinc glycinate is very highly soluble.

Flexi-care - Glucosamine, chondroitan, collagen and MSM. I do believe this is one of Dr. Rutolo's favorite products! :) His eyes twinkled when he talked about it. He says there is a study that shows that Glucosamine slows the progress of osteoarthritis. He also said that Chondroitan supports Glucosamine absorption, so that is why there is a need for it. I find it is great for joint pain.

BioNite - a melatonin product. Melatonin gets through the blood brain barrier and helps you adapt better sleep patterns. It is not meant to act as a sleep aid and make you drowsy, but to help you create a sleep pattern. It is a product best used in total dark, so if you are using it to help you sleep because you work nights, It won't work if there is light in your room. It really needs to be dark for melatonin to work. Melatonin is not water soluble, but through biocellular micellization it is. Use this product if you are having sleep issues and always make sure your room is very dark.

Cal/Mag 100 - 1000 Mg's of elemental calcium. As you know if you are taking this product, it is an effervescent. Since calcium citrate is so unstable, Cal/Mag 100 begins as calcium carbonate. By adding sufficient acid to ionize the calcium, calcium citrate is formed, releasing Co2 in solution, by adding water. Do not take calcium around fiber or phosphates as this slows the absorption down.

Daily Harmony - St. John's Wort - beneficial in mood regulating, Rhodiola - beneficial in body repair, Valerian, has a calming effect and helps to reduce pain. Botanicals are short lived, so that is the purpose of the 15-day supply bottles. Once opened, do not just let them set, use them up. I have recently started taking this product due to extra stress at this time in my life. I take it at night, and find I am loving it.

Body's Best - This is a terrific product. I have just ordered it because it helps with sugar control (has Chromemate in it), helps with sugar cravings suppression (gymnema). This STIMULANT FREE, high-fiber formula features powerful ingredients that naturally block carbohydrates from turning to fat and helps you tame hunger and balance blood sugar levels to lose weight safely and effectively. BODY'S BEST contains high quality fiber, Phase 2®, CitriMax® and ChromeMate®. I am really looking forward to using this product to help control my blood sugar as I am a diabetic and I don't want to take the medication any longer. I also know of people who have used it to help reduce their cholesterol very successfully.

Cell Care - A very well-rounded antioxidant product. I love it! I've been using the biocellular micellized form for a few months now. All the antioxidant components in Cell Care are fat soluble. With biocellular micellization they are water soluble. This product contains 30mgs of Co-Enzyme Q-10, which Dr. Rutolo said can help the ejection fraction of the heart come back. Citriline - improves heart function, Flax seed oil and Cranberry oil contain Omega 3's and 6's. ALA converts in the body to DHA and EPA and helps to reduce lipids. Tocatrienols - similar to Vitamin E, helps with oxidative stress. Resveratrol, assists with tissue damage, immune response, is not water soluble, but is in the biocellular micellized form. When you take 1 mg of Resveratrol in the micellized form, you absorb more than when you take 250 mgs in another form.
